With over 20 years of real estate experience in the luxury markets of Sarasota, Florida, Cleveland, Ohio, Northern New Jersey and Tuxedo Park, New York, Scott George brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the marketing and sales of luxury and unique properties. A multimillion-dollar producer with a luxury real estate firm, he founded its style division, which specialized in staging, photographing, advertising and marketing high-end properties.
While running his own company, internationally renowned New Century Artists, Inc. for 25 years, Scott managed opera singers. However, his other passion was always real estate. Scott previously worked with the Sotheby’s International Realty affiliate in Tuxedo Park, New York.
An active member of the Sarasota community, Scott has served on the boards of the Asolo Theatre, Sarasota Arts Council, American Cancer Society, Artist Series of Sarasota and the Community Music School and chaired events for the Sarasota Opera, the Asolo Rep, the American Cancer Society, the Players Theatre, the Center for Great Apes and Community AIDS Network, where he served as chief advancement officer. He has also raised over $20 million for the arts in Sarasota.
Scott graduated from Rollins College and received a graduate degree from the Juilliard School. As a winner of the Metropolitan Opera Auditions at the age of 19, he curtailed a successful performing career to form New Century Artists, while also building a career in real estate. Over the past 20 years he has remodeled over 18 historic homes including the homesteads of Emily Post and William Waldorf Astor, as well as 10 in Sarasota.
